If there was the room...not a problem.

I would much prefer to have diesel pushers that cost more than 75% of the homes in TV being near me...than another convenience store/gas station.

Am I to presume then, that you're also against the current (or future) storage areas...that The Developer has built (or will build)?

And if you're OK with them...then what's the diff?

Here, let me show you the difference.

So please explain, why you are so against...something like this?

Not in my back yard. Thanks anyways. I took the time to look at over 70 homes before deciding on one I felt was perfect for my budget, so I didn't have to worry about what might appear on undeveloped land I had a view of.

Yep, they make the unmentionable news regularly.

Bay Kid 07-14-2018 05:39 AM

Great! Controlled development.

That’s so sad, glad our kids grew up to be doctors, and bought in TV their forty’s. They work smarter not harder, something I wish we would have done. They love that summer heat, in Florida, we on the other hand retreat to the north for water you can swim in, with out a gator biting your arm off.

Long Island Expressway. Right?

Late boomers and gen x group won’t be able to retire until they reach mid 70’s.

Thankfully Florida will be one of few states left for retirees to live comfortably at a reasonable cost of living.

Too late for that comment! Traffic is bad now and will only get worse!

I travel BV and Morse, practically everyday. I have yet to experience traffic jams. I sure would like to know where the people moved from who think traffic is bad here.

Friday I SAT on I75 for 2 hours just to go up north. Traffic is never going to be even close to what pre retirement driving experience was before moving to TV.

Gotta agree.

I know traffic is rather relative. But for me, in my five years here, I've yet to experience what my 20+ years in Tampa Bay defined for me as bad traffic.

In 30 yrs I’ll be 85. If the Lord allows me to still be upright at that time, I’ll be on this forum as they announce the 5th square. I’ll say, remember when they planned to be built out in 30 back in ’18. I’m sure the replies will be, this place will never be finished.

Long after the Magic Kingdom is announced as the 21st town square they will be building. When the 33rd square is built on top of the current launch pad at the Cape, they will still be asking when is the build out. BTW, the golf carts will be able to reach 60 mph by then, allowing you to go from LSL to Lunar Square at Cape Canaveral in the same day.

Do you really think that all that traffic was a result of the population of The Villages? There is a lot of traffic in all of Florida right now (22+million residents and a lot of northerners vacationing here), so that 2 hour parking lot on 75 more than likely wasn't The Villages/Developers fault.

This traffic is a piece of cake compared to what I use to have to navigate in St. Louis. I don't think the complainers have driven Atlanta rush hour either.

Atlanta is a definite NO NO NO,Charlotte is not much better,
i was here all winter and never had to wait for two stoplights at 44, 466A, or 466, never had a problem. I stay off of 75 and the Turnpike as much as possible do to construction and accidents.

When I say up north I would never equate Florida in that context. I was on I75 in Michigan going to Traverse City. Pointing out traffic in other areas are 10 times worse than TV
Sorry you were confused on my post, never said I was in Florida, and why you thought I was blaming the developer, for the normal 2 plus hour summer backup that everyone is used to from June to September In Michigan

We will all be gone before we see traffic jams like we have experienced in NY, Boston or any other major metro area. IMHO

Traffic right now, during snowbird season, consists of being the 10th car in a roundabout, waiting to get through.
