Default Clarification of Moffitt questions

I thought a new thread was needed on just one Moffitt question:

Since this is really just a CFHA affiliate deal with Moffitt that will be housed in a new area of the TVRH hospital - who owns the TVRH building right now? Is it CFHA? Is it Morse?

If it is CFHA then why would anyone assume that the new area will be under control of Morse to lease back? (this has been said many, many times in previous threads so I assumed it to be true).

Please only answer if you know the exact arrangement. I'd like some facts since this is a key point of contention.

Thanks!

Moffitt Center will not be in or attached to the hospital. It's near but not the same building. Therefore I'm not sure how it is relevant to who owns the hospital building.

Take a look at the map from this link. It shows where all the players are, or will be.

Russ I was just going to edit my response to clarify my answer and saw your post.

I was going to add that the Moffitt Center will be located in the Sharon Morse Building. The Villages Commercial Property website shows that they handle the leasing of space in this building. I'm fairly positive that means its connected to the Morse Family and their businesses.

While I sometimes get annoyed with the occasional ranting on this site, re the Moffitt situation as well as peoples' experience with vendors, TOTV is a great source of information. Continue the good work, folks, and the ranters be damned. Life is good.

That's a given.

Thanks for all the responses.

I use that Sumter GIS all the time and never thought of using it for that. Great idea!
