Don't ignore the sub-title of the article: Even with low number of cases, health officials say residents must follow social distancing rules to keep community safe.

Perhaps our community spread is low BECAUSE most people are following social distancing guidelines (except when hoarding TP)

Also says two positives were found in the research testing, both from New York.

Social distanceing only slows it down. Self isolating can reduce fatalities.

Well, according to the latest news this morning, 38 Villagers now have tested positive for the virus. The growth of the number of infections is just beginning to experience its usual high growth rate, despite the effects of social distancing. The rate would be a lot higher without the social interventions.

Default Hmmmm

Given that only 18 of the current Sumter positive cases are because of travel and that none of the new cases since 3/25 are travel related, I would say the Daily Sun is overly optimistic.

No real information until we are able to test everybody.

How many people don't know they have the virus incubating in them?

The statement was made by UF Health, NOT the Daily Sun, who merely reported it. Nice try.

That was not a direct quote in the Sun, so I assume it comes from the writer of the article.
