Would we be in trouble if everybody pulled in backwards into parking spaces! A great many cannot even drive well going forward! Most spots in parking lots are not pull through and rudeness has become a part of our culture, seemingly in every way. Rude, inconsiderate and selfish and taking from the people who obey the rules. If this keeps up, we may have to sleep with a gun under our pillows.

No need to point out he was going the wrong way. He already knew that. Pointing out the obvious would be a trigger for that type of person. Do it and expect the same reaction next time, because that’s how they are. Life is too short. Allow them to be and you go on ignoring their idiocy and enjoy your day.

Definitely NOT JUST in the Villages. WHY that I am oh so Grateful that mom taught me to be a “Defensive Driver” when first began using the road. BASICALLY anybody and everyone around me IS capable of doing something Dangerous that may cause an Accident without Notice and in a Split Second … … SO I should Constantly be Aware of my Surroundings and Stay Fully Alert - and Guarded !! OF COURSE this also MUST be Applied when I am a Pedestrian. WE cannot prevent the Behavior of others, and Definitely should NOT instigate the “unhealthy” Drivers Actions AND unfortunately the passengers are collateral damage |

Signs in public parking lots are basically a 'guide' for drivers. They help when there is a lot of traffic. However, they are not enforceable by the police or the Villages security. That goes for stop signs as well .....except for the ones at the perimeter of the lot where you exit onto the street.
The parking lot in Spanish Springs at Publix has one way arrows in the lanes, whereas the lot in Spanish Plaines has bi-directional arrows in each lane. Go figure. |

Cowardly? FL laws are pretty specific that your life has to be threatened before a concealed carry can leave your pocket. And then warmed that you will use it. Or, go to jail for murder. If someone is acting like an ahole in a parking lot, or traffic; they deserve to be told. |
Everybody is is distracted, inconsiderate, just plain stupid, or out to get you! The only good drivers are you and me. And sometimes I'm not sure about you. 😉
Always be careful! |

The OP mentions using an index finger to point the scoundrel in the right direction. He or she may not have seen that as an index finger.

For those who back into their parking spots, don't you need to go down the aisle against the arrows because of the way the spots are angled in Magnolia Plaza?
If so, it doesn't phase me in the slightest, I was just curious. |

I drive down the aisle the way the arrows indicate until I see a spot that I can drive thru and park. After I finish shopping, I pull out of the spot, following the arrows. Actually, we do most of our shopping at Lake Deaton Plaza which has parking just like Magnolia. |

The main problem is that no one worries about getting a ticket because there are so little Police presence. Older people NEED the PROTECTION of more Police presence. They can become victims from both younger criminals and from older bad drivers. Also, with the heavy alcohol consumption at the squares, traffic accidents increase.

When you work in dangerous industries where safety is a high priority, or lives are easily lost, one generally follows alot of safety rules, and they become ingrained in your life afterwards. |

PS---11.5 years in TV, 28,000 miles on my cart, and I'm STILL waiting to see a golf cart going 40. I MAYBE, MAYBE once saw one going 30. Yep, let's get more police, more tickets---let's find that one guy going 40!!!!. And for every car that doesn't stop at a stop sign, there are 50 cyclists blowing through it. |
What a lot of dressing on a nothing burger!

For example, at Trailwinds there is no angled parking for ABC Liquor or Booger King. In those cases, I find a spot away from the other cars and back into it. |
Misunderstood
Oops, that might’ve been me?! Dupuytren contracture‘s been acting up lately. I’m a bit older and appendages just don’t straighten up like they used to. My bad.

So the easiest is to park way out at the ends and pull through. . hence the pull through comment. |
