Isn't this news?

What I find strange about this is that "something" apparently happened, and the local news has not done any kind of story on it. I realize the Sun is a company paper, but come on! Isn't this news? Does other "crime" get reported in TV (right, I know, there's no crime in paradise?) And by the way, when we were at TV in July for our preview visit, we stopped at Urban Flatts at least three or four times. It was busy, but I never suspected anything economic/romantic was going on. Must be getting old . . .

I do not see hookers getting busted as newsworthy.

This incident-- if it was ladies of the night getting collared-- hardly seems like something that would get any press even from the papers from Orlando, Leesburg, or Ocala.

I am sure they are here in TV. It just seems like human nature that prostitution would be in a community of 70,000 or so no matter how "senior" the population is.

urban flats

F16 your are bad to the core and I'm gonna tell Barb on you. I did bail Betty out the next morning because it was determined that a spouse cannot be arrested for propositioning his mate. The cops sure spoiled the mood and it will be a cold day in urban flats before I do that again.
Now you all know the truth. Shame on all you trash seekers.
Just wait till halloween, F16 is gonna get a pumpkin over his head bigtime. See you all there

I get your drift the Great Fumar. That reminds me of a line from the Andrew Blechman book Leisureville
about Mr. Midnight's comments after the February 2007 tornado here in TV. He wrote the author that all was well in his life but that Blechman needed to send viagra to TV. http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Lei.../9780871139818

Nitehawk,

You just made me remember what we talked about in third grade.

Our classroom had a piano, of course, so we could sing at some point during the day. The piano was arranged at an angle from the wall to create a little reading area behind it. The teacher always brought in "National Geographic" to put there for the kids to look at.

Welllll, those third grade boys spent an inordinate amount of time perusing various cultures from around the world.

We little girls always talked about what those boys were probably looking at back there hiding behind that piano.

Hey, Nitehawk, thanks for the flashback. I am sitting here laughing. I will be seeing a couple of those boys soon so I will check with them to find out if we girls were right about their avid interest in "National Geographic."

(Sorry to have hijacked this very important topic.)

Back on topic: Speaking of old classmates, I think I saw one of those bad girls from high school hanging around that outdoor bar at Urban Flats when Mr. Boomer and I were in TV for our first visit.

Maybe some of those bad girls from everybody's high school live in TV. Heck, they have to be living somewhere. What are the odds???

[QUOTE=t fields;168279]does anyone know what happened at urban flats, meaning certain ladies being detained by law enforcement ?? just curious[
I heard a story about a woman that had been at Urban Flats being attacked (a few mos. ago)after she left there, but never saw it in any newspaper, maybe this is why there's law enforcement activity there.
