Not sure if this will help but.... up North we often use office Depot. They can send things US mail or UPS....which is nice....since I ask them to compare pricing and usually go with the more cost effective route. And if you only need stamps or plain mail....we use the grocery store too.

The Post Office truck was in front of Sweet Bay today (Tuesday) at around 2:15. There was a line and it looked like business as usual.

Guess the OP got some bad rumor information.

Things do not look good for the Post Office. I am sure there are a few out there that will blame the workers! Maybe it's management or maybe we are just too lazy to write checks, mail letters & cards. I retired from a utility co and the executives got bonuses when they reached 30% of the customers on direct bill pay. It eliminated 4 jobs at the co. Doesn't seem "FAIR" the executives get rich at the expense of the working class. But as one VP told me, "FARE" is something you pay to get on a bus. WE need the Post Office!:duck:

Maybe if congress would let the PO be run as a business it might survive.
