Default Utilities Cost

Hi! I will be moving into the Villages soon , can anyone share with me the approx cost of utilities each month (UI, Gas...etc) I understand the cost will fluctuate with the amount used, I am looking for an approximate - I am trying to budget to see what I will be spending monthly.

Hard to tell without knowing what model home you will have. The more square footage, the likely higher the utilities. Plus any additional features like a pool or spa. And whether you have all electric or electric/gas.

OK, this is a rough, average estimate per month, your mileage will vary:

Amenities Fee, water, irrigation, sewer, and garbage are billed together: $240
Electric (assuming all electric house): $100
Phone, TV, Internet: depends on you, could be zero, could be a big number

Take a look at the following:

Depends on where you live. Our garbage bill comes every three months in a separate bill around 40.00. Our house is all electric and runs about 100.00 a month, water and amenities fee is about 185.00 cable is a big one we have Comcast with phone, cable and Internet and it is about 169.00 could be higher just had the bill reduced. Then you add on lawn service, pest control, and other things that you may want.

Our house is 1550 sq foot. We keep the inside comfortable -- cool in the summer (76) and warm in the winter (74). We fluctuate between $120 and $176 at the most it has ever been depending on usage. Averages around $150. ($10 of that is for our hot tub). The water, amenity and garbage bill combined is $245 each month. Don't forget to add golf in your monthly cost if you are a golfer who likes to play the championship courses. We budget about $200 a month for that. (once per week and lunch).

1200sqft for everything not including mortgage $12,000 to 14,500 per year. That's taxes and all. Your results will depend on your temps in the house. Our electric runs $46 to $110. Per month
