They have the stop sign, cars do not. I had to slam on my brakes, he was right in front me and stopped. He turned and put his arms out, like look at me, what are you doing. I gave him a loud verbal comment, "golf carts don't have the right of way, cars do".

John......so glad to see you back on TOTV. I have missed your postings.

Nasty people. In Most city ghettos and barrios you get whole jack in the box bag, drinks, cigarette butts and garbage thrown out windows of cars. They don’t even stop their cars. I like the trash on a bus bench when a trash can is 5 feet away. Moved away from there.

We started coming to Marion County/Ocala/Villages in 1994 when my inlaws first moved to the area. We always commented how clean things were in and around the roads around 484. It's all changed it's starting to look like where we came from in certain parts of the NorthEast some people don't give a crap where they dump litter.

Could be anyone!

Really it could be a resident or visitor to the golf area. And it could be a kid, or young adult. Sorry, not sorry, but some that I’ve seen around have no manners. Anyway it strikes me as immature and selfish, which could be any age.

If this is the way they chose to live, please go back to where you came from.

You are living the good life when the litter is a Starbucks. Is the second cup of coffee free at Starbucks?

tsmall22204 09-20-2021 05:01 AM

There are those with no sense of community.

Rwirish 09-20-2021 05:02 AM

Seeing more and more of this in TV.

thevillages2013 09-20-2021 05:08 AM

Was it still hot?

GOLFER54 09-20-2021 05:45 AM

He or she probably realize how terrible that coffee tasted and were afraid it would eat through the cup, so they ditched it as fast as they could.

thevillagernie 09-20-2021 05:53 AM

you're paying to have someone pick up trash....so you might as well dispose of it yourself. m morris once said

Folks come here because it is beautiful. It is so because the folks that LIVE here keep it that way. Most will even pick up litter to keep it that way. Unfortunately visitors may not have that sense of community. I am not speaking of snowbirds but sporadic renters (and not all of them either). Also the tradesmen that work here have no skin in the game. They don’t live here. If the cup was intentionally left by a resident then perhaps they need to revisit why they chose to move here. If it was left by a visitor they might be better served by remaining in the pigsty they came from. If it was a tradesman we need to identify them publicly

Why would you waste a minute of your life taking a pic of an abandoned coffee cup?? I seriously doubt someone stopped their cart n placed the cup. Did you ever think they got distracted doing something and forgot it? Im sure if they meant to discard it, they would have just tossed it.

There is a street in Leesburg that I drive down to and every single day there is stuff dumped on the side. I emailed the sanitation department and learn that no matter what they pick up, it gets trashed again that week even with two signs that say no dumping. The head of sanitation told me he carries large garbage bags and pics in his own car to pick up garbage as it can get so bad sometimes. Unfortunately you can't help human nature.

You’re Right what a terrible place I’d move
