Default Veteran's Day Tribute

Have you seen the Veteran's Day tribute at the Bridgeport at Lake Sumter Landing gate? There are banners for each of the branches of the military as well as a POW/MIA banner. It is quite moving.

I don't know who is responsible for it, but whoever it is, Thank You!

And thank you to all of our Veterans!

Thank you to all Military, active and retired for protecting our freedoms and way of life.

I thank all of you with children and grandchildren in the military and know you are both proud and protective of their dear lives.

I salute my dad and uncles and cousins who served.

Thank you all from my heart for your courage and committment.

A very big thank you for my late Uncle Joe who was a WW2 veteran and all other veterans.

He served on the USS Essex and saw battle in all islands of the Phillipines. He was off the cast of Japan when the a-bomb was detonated.

This was a special day for him as he enjoyed putting flowers on all the graves.

RIP - Uncle Joe, a true hero and family man who made the USA safe for us.

It always amazes me when some bull crap complaining thread can get 100 replies but the deserving threads like this one gets 5 responses????? What gives? These are/were the guys that put their lives on the line for our freedom.
They deserve better.

Let's hear it for our Military!

What she said! My father was a pilot in WW-2. Both my grandfathers were sailors in WW-1. My oldest son served in Germany & Iraq. Thanks to ALL who have served our nation.

My husband and I are both Army Veterans and it makes us happy to hear of these type tributes, especially in our soon-to-be hometown.

We just buried my brother on Friday - a Veteran of the Korean War. The Flag was presented to his widow, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house when the bugler played Taps.
I thank him for his service to his country, his family, and his God......and all the other Veterans and active Military.

Thank-you to my deceased husband, father, uncles, and all the other men and women who have served this country. Husband passed away from service connected illness, was always proud and loved this country.

Thank you so much to veterans everywhere who gave unselfishly so that we could have our freedom. Their lives were changed forver in different ways. Bless those veterans we know and love, and bless the brave men and women in the armed services today.
