Default The village with the best location

OK, first off you CANNOT choose your location in The Villages. Because we all know how that is going to work out. Everybody thinks their location is the best. But, if you had to move to another location, where would that be? I saw this video on Youtube and thought this would be a good topic.

Once again a personal preference. If you don't live here I would suggest renting for a month and really spending time talking with people and checking out all of the different areas. Some want to be near the action, others near athletic amenities, and others want peace and quiet. The good thing is you have lots to choose from both north and south with lots of re-sales being available. New construction is only in the south with few exceptions.

It depends on what is important to you. For instance, I know someone who is looking for a home where she can take her dog on a three mile walk and stop at a Starbucks. Since the Starbucks are at Lake Sumter and Buffalo Ridge, I would steer he towards villages in those areas.

I have another friend who wants a daily walk on nature trails. The Villages near Monarch Grove would be best for her.

I know someone who has a lot of health issues. Being close to their doctors save them a lot of time each week.

Some folks like drinking and dancing but don’t want to worry about drunk driving. Being within walking distance to a square would be a good location for them.

If you are planning on spending lots of time at the wood shop, a home very close to the one you signed up for may be the best Village for you.

Look at your day to day interests and we could help you come up with a few villages that would work for you.

Virginia Trace (next to ours Sabal Chase ). Close to Lake Sumter Landing and shopping. Close to regional rec centers and championship golf. No place to build apartments

We have lived here since 2000, the Villages lies about everything concerning location and what will be built near you. The best area just keeps moving.

As TV’s realtors like to say, “There are no bad neighborhoods in TV. “ There are however negative locations within each village. Heavily trafficked streets, proximity to MMP’s and roadways regularly used by golf carts. (The gas golf carts create more noise than cars.) proximity to water or sewage treatment facilities because of the odor or fire stations. Homes across from mail stations or close to pickle ball courts might also make the list.

This is why it is best to rent for some period of time to get to know this place

FUNNY you mention that. When we bought we told our agent it had to be 3 miles from Starbucks (not for a dog but for our own walk every morning. She of course thought we were nuts but she did it. We found a place in Amelia 2.98 miles walk from our front door to SBX front door at LSL! There are a couple homes around here for sale you should tell her to check out Amelia.

I concur, it's perhaps the most appealing of all to me...quaint and close to everything that you'd want to be close to
on a daily basis
