WOW! there's a Sanibel neighborhood group already! We just put a reserve on lot 69 on Evesborough Way. We would love to come to the party, who is organizing it? is it only for people already moved in? Or can"just dirt" people come too?!

We have an appointment on Monday to do some planning.......hurray!

The Villages are responsible for the Cookout. I called to get any information about it, but all they could give me was the location.

Hi to Connie and Chuck!! We are also from illinois--Rockford, and have a lot waiting for us on Bradford Loop. Sterling is not too far from Rockford. Looking forward to meeting you when we all finally get there. Still looking for a buyer up here, and then things will begin to happen down there!

We are HERE! We are renting a house in Liberty Park until the end of the year. We've been living in Orlando since 1998 and closed on our house in Hunters Creek a few weeks ago.

Yes, let us know when you come down to TV for a visit and we'll definately meets! There are so many nice people to get to know here.

Good luck selling your home in Rockford!

Just wondering if anyone else is near us yet!! Can't wait to meet everyone on the 29th-so glad it is open to "dirt" owners as well! Jim and Pat

We are renting here in TV, Liberty Park. We own just dirt right now in Sanibel, but hope to start building soon. We started making some decisions on a pool, screen room, decking around the pool. I think are going to do a separate above ground hot tub because we had the pool/spa combination in Hunters Creek, but we didn't have enough jets in the spa and it sometimes took a long time to heat up in the winter.

Just pm me if you want to meet somewhere for lunch. Of course, we ALMOST always go to Lake Sumter Landing for the music in the evenings.

Connie,

We will be arriving in TV on Saturday afternoon and will be with another couple. We don't know yet what our schedule will be. My cell is 786-797-6341. Maybe we can touch base then.

The grand opening cookout is actually open to anyone in The Villages. It's not just for Sanibel residents. It's shown on the monthly activity calendar. http://www.districtgov.org/images/RecCalendar.pdf. They always have a big grand opening deal whenever they open a new recreation area.

Because there is free food involved I'd imagine it will be packed!

The other day we were driving through Sanibel, and we saw Brighthouse Cable people doing underground cable work there. Does anyone know if we will have Brighthouse cable, phone and internet in Sanibel. I hope so. We had it in Hunters Creek and we liked it.

Dear Helen, we didn't end up going to either of the squares tonight, because of the rain. How long are you going to be here?

Connie,
We are going to drive around the different neighborhoods this morning to get better acquainted with the Villages. We are with another couple. They are playing golf right now and we don't know what their schedule is. Where are you going to be today --maybe we can connect just to meet and say hello.

Default Empty places

The area next to the rec center under the 1st development in the Village of Sanibel. There are two areas on the map to the right of the water that are empty. What is that? Are they putting something in there???
