Hi all- we are closing here in upstate NY on Sept 9th and heading to TV right away! We will be renting for a few months while we wait for a lot that is big enough to hold all the stretches we want and so far no luck. Anyone know when the next unit lots will be released? Soom very soon we hope!

We just purchased a home in Sanibel on Silk Tree Road. We, too, have to sell our home in Miami --keeping our fingers crossed that it sells soon --so excited about getting up there and meeting everyone!

Default Had a bunch of kool aid

We also just purchased in section 177 of Sanibel, lot 164, Silk Tree Terrace. My husband and I were born and raised in the burbs of Chicago, moved to Atlanta in the 80's and on to TV if we can sell our darn house. We are building an Aspen or an Elm, bought a corner lot with the hopes of putting in a pool. Can't wait to meet everyone!!!!

Welcome Sue and Dave! Yep, that Atlanta market is something. We moved from Albany GA a month ago and will close in Sanibel on Friday. We'll keep the light on for ya in the neighborhood. Welcome to TOTV and glad to see all the new Sanibellians coming on board! You will be here before you know it! Soon, very very soon!

Default Just waiting for the right one

House has been on the market for 6 months now. Lots of positive comments but only one offer that wasn't even in the ballpark. House shows like a model home. Realtor says price is right, so all we can do is wait. We had another showing today. Keep your positive energy flowing this way. Maybe this will be the one and then we can head on over to Sanibel!

I need to parrot this quote. Our realtor here up North said the same about our house. We are also waiting to get to Sanibel. We had a showing last week but the couple want to buy our house on a contingency basis

Since no one has answered, the best bet on this is to ask your Villages sales rep. If he/she knows, post the answer here for others too!

Well - this is what we know so far- Our sales rep just says there is no definite news be he HOPES to know something soon. What we don't get is if there are so many of us who want to stretch houses and add golf cart garages -why are there so few reasonable lots that will accommodate the stretches? Just a little frustrating but we will hang in there because in the end it is not so much about the house but more about the people in TV! Soon very soon! Jim and Pat

We sold our house with a contingency. She needed to sell her house first. Our house stayed on the market with the buyer having first-right-of-refusal. Which means that other offers could be made and the first buyer had to remove the contingency and buy the house or loose the house to another buyer. Kind of like having the best of both worlds.
