Drugs and alcohol, bad and toxic mix. So sad for all involved and thank goodness there were no fatalities.

We all know and knew when we were wrong. But don't they make the best stories?
I'm guessing you were/are a great dad.

I baled out, but not soon enough----I changed my post to nevermind. If you think like me and mine, you don't need to spread it all over the place. thank-you for saying i'm a great dad--that feels pretty good

Very true of the burglars, but there are numerous 60+ criminals living here who aren't couch surfing. It's just that on TOTV, if an old person does something wrong, it's bound to be because of "dementia, diabetes, PTSD, OCD..." or some other malady that makes it not their fault.

That's really drunk
I'm glad that they did not harm them, or anyone else
To me a DUI death is unforgivable

I am well aware of kids and grown ups getting drunk. Happens everywhere. Not really even newsworthy.

What is something that affects us here, the homeowners, if the very chilling fact of 14 people dead from golf cart accidents in the last five years.

It could have turned out differently. Glad it didn't. Be careful who you allow to drive your golf cart.

I think the man will need to pass a helmet law for golf carts.

Not many 70 year olds can run down the street while carrying a big screen TV...

It depends on how you look at the double standards in this country of ours...aren't they eligible to be covered under their parents medical insurance because they are regarded as "children" until the age of 26!

Look at the "age 26" insurance option like this: Better that the parents and their employer pay the premium to have them on parents' family plan insurance, than to force taxpayers to fork over more for them than we already are. I know quite a few recent college grads who could not get a job that included health insurance benefits, as many are small employers and many companies cut "full time" to less than 30 hours per week as that incentive exists.

As for drinking and driving as the original topic is, I hope the guys learn their lesson now. Nipped in the bud, hopefully.

Can't say I read this whole thread, but how strange that both pass out at the same time?

Graciegirl - I've seen you post that statistic before. Is there any place where I can get the details from those 14 deaths? I just want to know what not to do when I get down there.

The focus here should be two adult males visiting and staying in a home in Belvedere and driving a golf cart were found at a stop light all the way down on Avendia Central drunk and on drugs. This means they had to travel down Morse, etc. This means they could have well and probably did place village residents in potential harms way. If they were my visitors they surely would never have access to my golf car and perhaps if they persisted my home because i have too much respect for my neighbors and myself
