Agreed; I am again reminded why I don't retire, maybe too much idle time. At least the speculation keeps them from telling me how fast to drive my golf cart, or how to run my grandkids, or where to walk my dog (if I had one).

"After Lady Lake officers and a Lake County sheriff's county deputy arrived a the home, they found (the man) in the home near the back door, the affidavit said. Police said he then grabbed a knife, leading the deputy to use a stun gun on him according to the affidavit.

"His wife, who was found inside the home, told police her husband had strangled her to the point where she lost consciousness and he had threatened to kill her as he choked her, the affidavit said."

The story goes on to say he "could face charges of attempted felony murder, felony battery by strangulation and violation of probation." Bond was set at $2 million.

I also agree. Two lives irrevocably changed forever. We don't know what pain others carry. We live in a caring community. Perhaps we should wait a bit longer before turning a tragedy into a joke or political commentary.

Being charged with violation of probation would indicate this is not a first time issue........there is some history there.

BK.Thank you for making my post accurate. That is the difference between a journalist and a lay person. And...how rumors get started. I said with a knife and I reported inaccurately.

I wondered too how bad their lives must have been to get to this point and wondered if alcohol was involved. I have many friends comfortably married and some that it is like an armed truce.

None of us know the true circumstances leading up to what was reported. We are just talking and speculating about it on an Internet forum. The thing that my mind goes to is the part in the story about his potential charges. The potential probation violation caught my attention. It could be anything. But one thing for sure; this isn't his first run in with the law.

Unhappy TV is not immune

Domestic has no boundaries. This is not a laughing matter to be light of or a joke. I hope the Mrs. gets the help she needs to move forward.

Whatever the guy's problems he must have been in great emotional pain to try and provoke the police into shooting him. I hope the courts require him to get the care he needs and I will mention him in my prayers that such care is successful.

My observation about there being a mental/psychological issue is not a wild conclusion -- I am a psychotherapist and this is not an unusual situation--unfortunately.

This lady needs some support, if anyone knows her, please help her. If they, like so many of us, left friends and family to move to TV, she may really be alone right now. So many women feel guilty and responsible "I made him do that...I should have just been quiet...changed the channel...cooked better....etc, etc...because of this, they avoid other people because they fee ashamed. She needs friends, if I were there I would try to seek her out and offer some comfort. I hope someone does. If by any chance she reads this forum, she needs to know that this was not taken lightly, it had to be a horrible experience for her and we all care.
