Moving to the Villages

We're closing on a place in The Villages next month. I just read the statistics. They were alarming. You folks work over 39 hours a week? Forgetaboutit!

That was the stat that jumped out at me too. Made the whole article laughable.

Well, that explains part of how we work here in The Villages. At times, I work several hours a week on my golf game. I know some TV residents that work at getting free meals here and there in TV. When you add all this along with all those that work on parties, dances, pickleball, hundreds do club work, volunteer work and etc.etc. 39 hours a week could be a very conservative number. 👍

:welcome: to TOTV. I see this is your first post.

The article included people in what they call, the MSA, ( Metropolitan Statistical Area).

All the people I know work 0 hours per week. Were too busy having fun. Sometimes I wonder how I ever found time for work, as I am very busy having fun.

Congrats. Best wishes as you start living the dream.

Thanks all. I'm relieved now. I was so stressed at the thought of working 39 hours that I had to have a second margarita and then a nap. I hope there's no rule against 2nd margaritas and unscheduled naps.
