For some reason that I can only guess, but will not reveal to the rest of the class, you failed to see that my closing suggestion,
"Ask some residents rather that your sales agent.", was intended as, "It is best to not rely on my information alone". My reply to OP was responsible: Introduce what I'd heard in case it is true- BUT ask people in case it is not. Conversely your reply to me was misdirected and unsophisticated. Which of our offerings supplied useful information to the OP?

Nonsense, we live near and have never heard a peep.

As far as I know, there have been no Villages homes built close to the prison. Moultrie Creek will be the first. Your home must be further away, this is why you do not hear a peep.

I don't read all the posts before replying- and judging from the fact that the vast majority of posts contain similar answers it is safe to assume the vast majority of users here don't either. Many of the posts that do have similar answers differ in ways that will give the OPs wider information. Also. If someone in a Village says, "I don't hear it" it doesn't mean someone a mile away doesn't. We hear highway noise where we live. Not everyone here will report that they do where they live. So the short answer to your question is I will continue to do exactly what I am currently doing.

Parts of Monarch Grove is within a mile as the crow flies, about the same distance.

Lots of homes in Middleton that are closer than Moultrie Creek. Only complaints there have been about football games.

What about the sight line?
There should be a clear view of the prison and the cement factory if someone were to buy on Mcmurtrie Loop? But then,, wouldn’t it be less than 1/2 of a mile?

Not many retirees living in Middleton. The vast majority are still working and are not home at ALL HOURS of the day. Life of a retired individual has to be taken into account. How much noise can you take 24/7? I may be wrong but Monarch Grove is much further from the prison and schools than Moultrie Creek. It also does not seem to have as much traffic. I guess the OP will have to look carefully at a map of the entire area. Isnt Monarch Grove having sinkhole issues?

Google maps shows the north east corner of USP-1 Coleman is 0.658 mi from south most Monarch Grove. Southen most building is 1.3 mi, Moultrie Creek is more than 1.3mi.

The east side of the facility is behind mature trees so you don't see it from the road.

So you ignored the larger point and zeroed in on that? May want to avoid the Debating Club.

I’m not in high school, so my debate club days are over. Have fun at the prom! :)

I'm replying to the highlighted comment........I reply to posts in a thread as I read them. Does it make any sense to read a thread with, say, 100 posts then have to go back to the posts you wish to reply to? I would need a list of the posts I had to go back to so I could reply to them.

OK.....back to the subject at hand.

Not everyone is gifted with astute hearing, especially as we get older. Sometimes that can be a good thing though especially if you live close to anything that can cause noise "pollution".
