Is THIS what you're talking about? If so, boy did you get things wrong!

Cops: Syringe-wielding man attacked woman with animal-tranquilizer shot - Orlando Sentinel

No, it happened 2 blocks from my house and I am a REAL TV Land resident, not a would-be, want-to-be-TV land resident. And I said, "check it out, it is in the rival news website". So, go do that and go try to catch a greased pig!........
........And speaking of trolling......why is it that I feel that I am being trolled.....maybe I am just the paranoid one?
.......Paranoia, the destroya......
get outta line, the man come

According to whom???? Could you possibly be referring to the mantra of TV real estate salespeople---"Buy now because we approaching "the buildout":1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

I think anyone who has been here for 10 ton15 years would definitely agree with you. The original concept of Harold Schwartz and carried on by His son is long gone. The Villagers is a nice place but do not kid yourself, it has turned into nothing but a giant sprawling suburb with no end in site. Along with which comes increased crime, relentless traffic and all the other things that comes with over growth.

Been here20 years and still can say it was the best move we ever made. Close to 42 means we have no problem with the growth in the southern portion of The Villages. If you keep up with the news you will know a new town square is on the horizon in addition to a new medical campus with a hospital.

The Villages will one day be on a severe decline, to the same extent as today it is on the severe incline. It is currently fueled by untold quantities of Baby Boomers who saved their entire life, invested, and many of whom have pensions. The next generations to come, almost none of that holds true. As the Boomers die off there were be no hoards of people in a financial position to do what the Boomers did and then tons of deceased Boomer's houses on the market with no one to buy. Ultimately, it will have to open up to non-55'ers to purchase to in order to get things sold and have someone to pay the ongoing fees and taxes.

327 BC, Augustus Gaius Pompus--- "One day Rome will be in severe decline". Of course, THAT took 800 more years to come to fruition. I can wait:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

I disagree with most of this. Our kids have worked hard and saved hard. They have good jobs and nice houses, and one has a vacation home.

Plus when the Boomers are gone, their kids will have the houses and $ inheritance their Boomer parents left behind. Ours are going to split our two houses between them. It's not like we Boomers didn't have any kids so there will be nobody left behind to snap up these homes. Or the leftover money.

You’re missing an entire generation. Gen X. That’s ME! We work hard. Still do! I love my job, make great money and have no interest in retiring any time soon. But I work about 4 months a year and live a retired lifestyle otherwise, so here is perfect for me. Who retires at 55 anymore?

"Nationwide, male blue-collar workers are re-evaluating their situations and are reluctant to return to work. I don't blame them - there have been ZERO increases in wages in constant dollars (considers inflation) for the last 30 years! "

So who gets to pay for their food, if they don't? Or more precisely, choose not to?

Remember, The Villages is not a gated community but a community with gates. On any given day at any time of the day anyone from outside the villages has full access to every road every street every business and all the town squares. If for some reason a person or persons with Less than honorable intentions approach a gate at 3 AM in one of our villages and you do not live in the villages you simply press the red button the gate goes up and you enter. The 20% of the villages that have gate attendants are not allowed to ask you what your businesses is and are not allowed to stop you from entering any village at any time of the day or night. Also keep in mind that many of our seniors who live here in the villages are allowing their grand children and children to live with them. Everything I mentioned above including a community future population with over 200,000 people is bound to see a significant increase in crime and traffic. Go to On Top of the World, Dell Web, Margaritaville, or Stone Crest. Try entering the property without authorization and see what happens. You will not only be stopped but you will be asked to leave. I’m just saying.

This post makes no sense. The person says he loves it here, and blames the size for not being a gated community? the two are not related. . . or is the poster trying to make the argument for a 24 hour gated community based on the total size and a generalized net percentage statistic?

Looks like someone's mind is playing tricks drawing fearful conclusions from disparate datasets. The brain is designed for survival. . If one reads too much negative news, survival mode kicks in. . . making fearful conclusions where none exists.

Traffic problems already on 466A

Yes, TV has gotten way too big.

The houses and other homes being built near 466A before 462 are not occupied yet and there are traffic problems already having to do with volume of cars. The builder keeps building and a lot of roads can’t be enlarged. The reason we all moved here years ago will be gone soon.
