Points are NOT reset every Sunday, that is a mistaken theory. Points last for 7 days, if you get a point on a Tuesday it goes off the following week at Midnight Monday .

It's like that at every golf course I know. The other quirk about Sundays, are afternoons are typical "teach your wife/girlfriend to play golf" day. Those days can be painfully slow.

Especially if you have both there.

Should be more than a call - i.e. additional points stick to your account for 2 or 3 weeks

Some golfers will have their golf suspended.

This highly unadvertised practice enables groups of that size or larger to pre-establish regular recurring Tee Times at various Villages courses. At least two courses, OBH and Lopez Legacy, and possibly more, prebook these groups on a regular weekly basis to the detriment of Priority Members who compete for Tee Times through TV Tee Time System. These privileged groups include both Priority and Non-Priority Golfers.

Paying an annual Priority Membership Fee ($777) is supposed to provide certain privileges such as having priority for booking over groups that include non-Priority members. All groups in addition are supposed to be prioritized for booking purposes based on total group playing points that have been accumulated during the past 7 days. By pre booking groups of 32 or more players irrespective of these rules, Golf Administration has established a prejudicial procedure in violation of the benefits upon which they sell Priority Memberships.

After referring this issue to Golf Administration, I was essentially told, sorry, that's the way it is. It seems that they don't care if they violate the very precepts under which they sell Priority memberships to the detriment of all of us Priority members who play by the rules. If enough of you express your concerns about this to Golf Administration, perhaps they will be obliged to review and eliminate this practice that clearly violates the terms under which Priority Memberships are sold.

After discussions with Golf Adm it is clear that their position on this issue is that they can do whatever they want. They do not agree they are are doing anything wrong by allowing pre booked non priority golfers to override the basic precepts of their own tee time system. Trying to discuss this with them is akin to banging your head against a brick wall. When in Rome you must do what the Romans say! End of story!!!

They own the courses, they set the rules, and we have the choice to play or not to play here. It is like the person complaining about dress code, again they set the rules. You (we) make not like it but it is their house.

Did they even have a golf course when he built his mobile home park?

I see this post died and went to heaven. Another win for the Villages who seem to get away with anything they set their minds to.

Talking or posting about it, won't change a thing.

You have to hit them in their pocketbook, so it's cheaper to changed things than continue with the status quo.

Maybe get 1500 of your golfing friends, to pick a specific day and not play golf.

He built the Orange Blossom course first, then sold manufactured homes around the course. They are not mobile homes, they are manufactured homes that are on blocks, not a poured foundation.

If they were built/manufactured prior to 1976, they are Mobile Homes.

In 1976, HUD re-designated "mobile homes" as "manufactured housing".

They are the same.

From the Google machine:

"In the early 1970s, Schwartz turned his focus from mail-order land sales to land development. Schwartz, along with business partner Al Tarrson, founded Orange Blossom Gardens, a mobile home park in Central Florida located off of US Highway 27-441. Using land leftover from his mail-order land sales business, Schwartz began selling homes to retirees. Initially, sales were slow, with only about 400 homes being built in the original development.

In 1983, Schwartz, unsatisfied with the progress, bought out Tarrson's interest in the business and brought in his son, advertising executive, H. Gary Morse as a business partner. Together, Schwartz and Morse increased sales at Orange Blossom Gardens exponentially and created interest in the growing community.

In 1992, the name of the development was changed from Orange Blossom Gardens to The Villages"
