Re: Villages here we come
I gave all my mirrors to the Salvation Army long ago. I figure when you're over 50, mirrors are not your friends.
Looks like a newbie nude swim is out, Donna, got any great suggestions for a Newbie get together?

Re: Villages here we come

I do not think excited can even begin to describe how I feel about our move to TV. I have tons to do and lots to plan and that will make the time fly......I hope.
A newbie party sounds like lots of fun, getting to meet all the neat people who have been so supportive would be especially fun.
I work for a very environmental friendly company. Yesterday, we had a day of service to the community and I worked at a local YMCA Camp painting the out buildings. At the end of the day we gathered back at corporate headquarters for a cook-out on company property. Our dining staff fed all 800 of us really well and we celebrated being of service to our neighbors. They raffled off a Honda Metropolitan Motor Scooter, and I won It's blue and white and just a hoot. So, look for me after the 15th of November. tooling around on on the scooter.

Re: Villages here we come
Add one more couple to the list!! We move down there next week! Although we'll have to rent for awhile, in the end we'll be buying a home there and become true Village People.
We'll skip the nude swiming party though - Yikes! that can't be a pretty sight!!!
See you soon - even though we won't know who you are!

Re: Villages here we come
It is so exciting reading all these posts about everyone heading for TV. Including us! Usually I'm depressed this time of year about the impending winter, not anymore!!! :hot:

Re: Villages here we come
The geese and humming birds have it right, go South when the leaves start falling!
Just like Lemmings, we're listening to Nature.
Donna, see you when you arrive, we'll have been there 5 days, we won't be newbies anymore, we be Village people. :2cool:

Re: Villages here we come
I am glad to be a lemming,or a goose or any brillant species that knows enough to head south before winter.
Autumn is my 2nd favorite time of year but it has always been bittersweet because it meant winter was next. This year I intend to savor every sunset, the brillant colors of the changing leaves, chilly mornings and evenings, warm days, fall flowers and crisp apples. Then I am going to pack up my goods and head south leaving the snow , ice and bitter cold behind. Nothing bittersweet about fall this year.
