Just put up with the junk mail as the income from it is the only thing that keeps 1st class mail from skyrocketing to extreme heights. It is an inconvenience to have to go through all the trouble of throwing it away, but much less trouble than paying $10.00 or more for a 1st class postage stamp. Thanks

OP, get excited about something that might really matter in life

direct mail has a low success rate...but it has to be working, otherwise they'd be knocking on your door, or calling you at your dinner hour

is covered by the delivery of bulk mail....

I asked the post person delivering the mail if they are tired of delivering the junk mail. They said the junk mail is the best for them because without junk mail they would be out of a job.

psst . . . the USPS does not get our tax dollars. The Postal Service relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations. :)

Rent a postal address at a letter drop store for important mail, and just do not bother with your assigned box at the postal station. Maybe you can trust the letter drop renter to censor your mail to your specifications.

After 1 year the forwarding by USPS stops so no matter who it is addressed to you get it. I get mail from a neighbor who now resides in my first home AND I haven’t lived there for over 7 years and yes I did contact everyone when I moved out.
