I, too, drive to distant rec centers for various things not offered/available at the ones close to me. I give it little thought because other places where we could be living could only dream of what we have here.

But I have to admit also, I was mighty surprised when our friends bought a home near BV Blvd and Camino Real, and we went looking for neighborhood pools. I was shocked to see so few there as compared to where we live south of 466.

I think each district has about 6000? units. The area north of El Camino has one district and parts of two other districts, I think. So, we could be looking at about 12,000? units. So, from that perspective, 300 additional units is not a great increase in burden on the amenities. If the developer builds two additional pools, that would really help the pool situation in the north end.

I thought the west CYV construction had to have cart access to calumet ave? If I remember what I read when this project was first announced? the cart access runs along the horse farm and church property that butts up against village property. With church negotiations stalemated wouldn't that throw wrench in the west side CYV build?

The church property would really add some facilities if they are planned. Like platform tennis, which is only available in the south, couple tennis courts with master tennis lines being there are only 4 north of el Camino Reno. I doubt pickleball courts will be added due to noise which could bother horses or close residents? The church property could be the Rotan of the north if planned right IMO. O I forget handball courts, would be first for the villages?

I heard the east project east of VA will have rec center.

The Developer's proposal dated June 10, 2015 says in part….

131 village/cottage homes (Soulliere Villas)
169 unit “Phillips Villas”

The Developer shall retain the right to include an additional 300 units within the Village Center Service Area, provided that such units shall be limited to occupants of Independent Living Facilities or Assisted Living Facilities which are typically low impact users of Amenity Facilities.

What is a village center service area?

Village Center Service Area (VCSA) services approximately 17,948 residents in District #1, Lady Lake and Lake County

VCSA comprises of 95 miles of potable water mains, 509 fire hydrants, 83 miles of sanitary sewer mains, 15 miles of sanitary force mains, 1643 manholes and 31 lift stations.

VCSA is regulated by St. Johns River Water Management District for water use and Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Orlando for water and wastewater treatment and distribution.

Village Center Service Area (VCSA) I make a check out to them ever month for water, sewer, garbage pickup, and amenities. I put the envelope in the box at the post office box station that does not require a stamp.

I sincerely don't believe the additional units have anything to do with Recreational and Facility Use at Mulberry Regional Recreation Center, Chatham Village Rec Center or Calumet and Springdale Neighborhood Rec Centers. I do believe it has to do with Sewer and Water services and usage for the Independent Living units when and if they are built.
