This thread cracks me up.

how is this supposed to be enforced? there is no id or plate number. you don't need a drivers license. A 300 pound man speeding will be courteous to a 120 pound woman giving a ticket? I think not. People will just refuse the ticket or throw it away. How will this be enforced and protect the ticket givers from violence?
and there will be violence.....guaranteed

You just might want to read the first or second page of this thread.

Respect for law. Something that is becoming less and less common. The people who DO respect the law have nothing to worry about if increased highway enforcement, paid or otherwise (commission) becomes the norm.

Minnesota, where I come from, has long bemoaned the fact that they just don't have enough officers to efficiently patrol the highways. I saw a story in one of the Twin Cities publications a few years ago that quantified it: if you speed in Minnesota you have maybe 1 chance in 500 of being ticketed. Maybe Florida is different; I don't know. But I see precious few patrol cars on the Expressway or on I-75 and seemingly more and more reckless drivers who are endangering others as well as themselves. Increased enforcement, in some fashion, should be the order of the day.

The Citizens on Patrol for Speeders will start ticketing all vehicles that exceed 20 miles per hour. The first ticket will be 25$ and second and forward will be 75$. The Cops will work off a 30% commission rate, use their own golf cars, be equipped with radar guns, sirens, and use their own phone to capture pictures. The excess funds will be used to cover equipment costs, uniforms, food banks, and psychological evaluations for repeat offenders.
