The origional question was when does it get too cold to use the pools. I go to the tierra pool every chance i get if its warm enough. In the summer no problem. Go almost every day then. In the winter i will go if:

The air temp is 70 or higher
Its not real windy. Anything over ten mph is windy to me
Its not cloudy.

So if its at least 70, and its sunny, and its not windy i will go.Anything less than that and i skip it. Some of the people have bought water thermometers and bring them to the pool to check the water. Most of all the temp readings are right around 86 degrees. Water needs to be at least 84 or 85 min or it feels too cold. Thats sort of a rough guideline to plan your pool plans.

It's too cold when the discomfort outweighs the enjoyment. Pay attention to the temp and winds when you go. You'll figure out what works for you. If it seems iffy take a big fluffy bathrobe. It will warm you up faster than drying off with a towel.

Depends on what you're drinking.
