The future of TV is the Brownwood area, ask any TV sales agent. Despite the negatives people said about Brownwood several years ago, the tables have recently changed.

I agree!

My wife and I originally hailed from Michigan, moved to North Carolina 20 years ago and retired to The Villages last February as full-time residents. Last week we spent 11 days in Michigan seeing friends and family and catching up on the old sites - where we once lived, worked or went to school. After just a few days, I was already homesick for The Villages. In a few weeks, we're spending a week in North Carolina to catch up with friends, neighbors and co-workers. I'm wondering already how quickly I'll be missing The Villages. Maybe by the time we cross the border into Georgia?

Actually, it may not be just The Villages I was missing. Despite the heat and traffic, I'm really coming to like living in Florida. There are so many parks and beaches and nature areas to visit and so much new (for us) wildlife to see. There are also so many new restaurants to try, especially for fresh seafood.

I am living the dream here and it feels like waking up to be somewhere else!

I have not found this to be true. I built my designer home in Springdale, the village next to Woodbury in 2003 for $179,000. Had it appraised last year for refinancing for $245,000.

To be fair, my Aunt had her house built with many extras that drove the final cost up to the point that she can't recover those costs even with local appreciation. We all know that real estate is local and I assumed it would be applied Village wide, but that is not the case. Wide price disparity exists among similar homes within the Villages based upon geographic location.
