I'm pretty sure the OP doesn't live here nor does he want to live here. He's just listing reasons not to move here from Long Island, NY. Probably he's never even been here. I think his "knowledge" has been formed from reading complaints about this or that on TOTV.

My theory is that OP wants very much to live here. But he ( my theory is that OP is a he. Hey, it's my theory, and it can be sexist if it wants to be) gambled on property values going down, and scooping up a bargain, and now finds his dreams left in the dust.
That's my theory and I'm sticking to it, unless he wants to rejoin his conversation and explain further.
