Default Waiting

Not soon enough! It seems like they are waiting for the villas to be completed.

Default 2017

Actually, I just looked it up. On The Villages News, May 22, 2016 it said it was due to open mid 2017.....that would mean this summer?? It doesn't appear that they are even close to being done by then, but anything is possible in The Villages!!

Don't get too excited about that Walmart. As opposed to a Super Walmart, this will be a Neighborhood Walmart.
The prices will be higher than the Super stores.
But then again, it will be good competition for Publix because either way, you be paying a higher than average price at either store.

We had a Walmart neighborhood market 1/2 mile from our house in TN.
We found the prices to be the same as the super Walmart 5 miles from the house.

Never shopped at a neighborhood walmart. Since you have what % of a mark up is there between the two.

I don't know that Walmart Neighborhood stores have an across the board percentage markup which is the same for everything.
My guess is that depending upon the product, the markup will differ.

It has been a long time since I shopped at one, however, what I do remember is at the time,
I ran in for dog food because my supply was low.
It was a higher price for dog food than I paid at the Super Walmart in the same basic area (not Florida).

It will be interesting to see if the same thing holds true here.
