Default Watching Softball Games

Does anyone ever got to "watch" people play softball? If so, where do you go? Are there "stands" to watch games anywhere? And…..how do you find out when/where games are being played?

Thanks!

Yes, there are three complex and there are bleachers, Saddlebrook and Buffalo Glenn. Holding State tournament going on right now with some great teams! I don't know the schedule? Plus during the week village leagues team play until about 1 or 2 o'clock. maybe someone else can chime in on the tournament schedule. or Insure it's in the daily sun newspaper.

If you haven't seen the softball complex at Saddlebrook, you are in for a treat. It is really beautiful. We just had our softball field, dugouts, bathrooms et al renovated at Paradise. We have stands and picnic tables with grills.

This is from The Villages Community Development Districts: The Villages Recreation Department manages nine softball fields at three separate locations. Two locations, Saddlebrook and Buffalo Glen, have fully stocked concession stands that are open during league play.

1. What type of softball leagues are offered in The Villages?

a. Recreation Leagues

Recreation leagues play twice a week Monday through Friday. Recreation leagues offer players of all abilities to play in a fun competitive environment. There are three softball seasons per year; fall, winter, and summer. For exact season dates please visit the softball season dates page.

b. Neighborhood Leagues

Neighborhood leagues play each Saturday. Neighborhood leagues
are made to build camaraderie within the neighborhood of the residents participating from the same or nearby neighborhood. The recreation department provides single walled aluminum bats for
the neighborhood softball leagues. There are three softball leagues per year; fall, winter, and summer. For exact season dates please visit the
softball season dates page.

c. Travel Leagues

Travel leagues are leagues that are non-recreation sponsored
leagues. These leagues play 1 to 2 times per week depended on the league. These leagues are formed and implemented by residents of The Villages. Each player in these leagues must sign a waiver of liability and a Recreation Department code of conduct. Travel league seasons vary from league to league. Please contact the Saddlebrook Recreation Center or a travel league representative for league dates and times.

2. Where are the Softball Fields located?

a. Kundson Softball Field: 1403 Paradise Drive, The Villages Fl
Knudson is located just north of HWY 441 adjacent to the
Paradise Regional Recreation Center

b. Buffalo Glen Softball Complex: 305 Tatonka Terrace, The Villages Fl
Buffalo Glen is located on HWY 466 just west of the Villages
Charter High School

c. Saddlebrook Softball Complex: 3010 Saddlebrook Lane The Villages Fl
Saddlebrook Softball Complex is located off of Buena Vista Blvd adjacent to The Villages Polo Fields

Thank you so much for the detailed reply!! Gotta love TOTV! I did find the schedule for today in the paper, so I shall send my bro-in-law off to watch a game or two.
