I simply loosen the fasteners holding the aluminum frame to the slab, pried it up and put a shim of about 1/16" under it and re-tightened. Invisible repair and water runs right out. For a shim use something that won't rust such as plastic. I used a large wire tie cut into pieces.
See where it puddles and do only that area.

We had our lanai tiled and had a similiar problem with rain water pooling in spots. My husband drilled small holes though the grout to the outside wall. He lined the hole with a small (think straw size) tube and then affixed little pieces of screening on the outside wall. No more pooling. We had called about the drainage things but the man wanted to remove several tiles and that was not acceptable to us. This seems to work very well for us.:posting:

Just get a "Wet Vac" and suck all the water up!!!!!:) LOL :a20::clap2::MOJE_whot:(just kidd'n) I just hose out the Lanoi, and then clean up the small debre after it drys with a vacuum. What would be nice, is a removable saddle by doorway, so you could unsnap saddle, hose everything out, and then snap saddle back into place?? (Maybe we will have someone come up with the idea)

That would be great! A removable threshhold at the doorway.

That's easy, just back out 3 or 4 screws and remove it. That's what I do when I pressure clean mine.

One thing to consider is that these screws (usually Tapcons) are designed to go into concrete once, while cutting threads in the hole. They are not designed to be removed and reinstalled.

threaded fitting can be epoxied into the concrete, and then use machine screws for easy removal.

I'll have to check into that. I have some anchors that I could put into the concrete. I really hadn't looked at how the threshhold is installed. It is about time I washed the lanai though, so I guess I better check it soon.

I had a similar problem with water pooling after I tiled the lanai. After doing a lot of research I decided to try something before I invested money to solve the problem. I simply loosened the screws on the bottom rail until it came up about an eighth of an inch. Problem solved.

This is true but I've done it several times and no problem, just snug them down, don't over torque them. I expect the threads in the concrete to give out eventually and then will go to threaded lead anchors.

Just drill weep holes with a drill bit .. Right on the bottom track next to the tile on the aluminum ... Drill holes and the water will drain ... No holes no ware for the water to go .. K.

Tile guys should of don this for you .. You need to drill holes ... It's is tile one on one lol .
