Just an FYI to anyone with reason to drive through (or live in or visit) the Silver Lake section of the Villages, and doesn't check the Daily Sun or follow it on Facebook:

There was a water main break at East Schwartz Blvd near Tangerine Dr.

Repair is underway but the road near that spot will be inaccessible all tonight and probably all day tomorrow as well.

Anyone living in the immediate area should prepare for a boil water order from the Public Safety Dept (I would do that anyway for now just as an extra precaution, if I lived within a few streets of this spot).

There was a picture in today’s Daily Sun of a minivan nose down in the hole filled with water. I’m glad no one was seriously injured! They had to escape through the back of the minivan, which I suspect was totaled.
