If you want to know other peoples business then ask them. My bills and water usage is not a tool for you. This option should have never been accessible.

How did Massey control your water useage? Just curious

Instead of complaining without knowledge, why wouldn't you think to call and ask?? Sounds like you like to stir up problems without knowing the details.
A new system was integrated that is different, there's always positives and negatives. The District looks for everyone benefit to do the best thing.
You could be part of the solution by finding out more before giving a wrong and negative opinion.

It was public information. You did this by doing an address search. That feature has recently been eliminated. Now, you need to enter the account number and last name of the person who lives at the address. Personally, I don't care who knows how much water I use, but I like to compare my usage to other properties in the neighborhood. To me, it is not a privacy issue. It was a useful feature, but now it is gone.

Each technician would set the run times differently by time and number of days. Had three guys last summer and their recommended settings were very different.

Would have thought that since Massey knows this area well they would give their newer techs a handout that suggests normal times for say grassy area and also how many days.

I did call and email the District Utility Department about the water usage feature. Here is the reply I got from them. The purpose of this thread is to share information that has been discussed on other threads on this website. My opinion is that it was a good feature, that was available for many years. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I don't understand how my post is stirring up any problems.

"Good afternoon,
It has been eliminated. The new company that we are using does not offer this feature."

Best Regards,

Can you explain specifically how you did that? I am not able to do it, and The Villages utility department told me that access to water usage data was eliminated, except for those who can provide a name and account number. See Post No. 24.

Thanks.

I for one do not like the idea of of my billing information being available to ANYONE, I don’t really care how someone else may think it benefits them to know my business. That is total BS.

This sounds interesting. Do you have one for potable and one for irrigation?
