Don't know what Wawa means but, the company was started from a Dairy Farm in Wawa Pa. It is a private owned family run business.

Wawa is an Indian (Ojibwe) word for Canada Goose. There is a goose in flight in Wawa's logo.

My wife and I were both born and raised in Wawa, Ontario Canada. In fact the town has a statue of a Canadian Goose as you enter the community.
