Default WE ARE The VILLAGES!

Folks, it's time to come together.

We Are The Villages! Let's lead, not follow! Be brave, respect the orders from those elected to serve us AND those appointed to protect us!

This is a once in a generation trial! How are you going to react?

Many are concerned about the financial world. If you believed in America and its bounty before, you should continue to believe in its bounty after. In the long line of human history, this is but a blip! For those adventurous individuals, what an opportunity to buy GREAT companies at a suddenly on-sale price of 30-40% off!

For the rest that are simply devastated.... My PERSONAL recommendation is to hang on and this too, shall pass. It may be a few years versus months to recover... too uncertain to know.. The very big picture is low left/right.... (insert nice diagram)

Whatever your motivation, perhaps we can nod a little bit of sympathy, in recognition that we're all in this together. Be Safe!

Good post.

It should start with empathy toward others and simply stop thinking... "US VERSUS THEM."

Default Food Pantry Donations Needed in Our area

Food Pantry donations needed! Here's one where that I know is collecting TODAY!

Others...please list donation sites you are aware of. We can help! Kids especially are impacted by missing out on school provided meals.

Pastor Dave has reported that the SoZo Kids food bank, which normally feeds more than 7,000 meals a month within the Forest, needs our help. Because schools are closed, children are no longer receiving free breakfasts and lunches at schools. And because the after-school programs are also closed, kids are missing a late-afternoon meal, as well.

Friends of SoZo Kids (aka the SoZo Kids Club of The Villages) is hosting four collection sites on Thursday, March 19 -- two are in The Villages and two are in Ocala. Please drop off nonperishable food items, cleaning supplies, and paper products at one of these locations:

9-10:30 a.m. -- Eisenhower Rec Center parking lot

11-12:30 p.m. -- Hiers-Baxley Life Event Center east parking lot, 3975 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages 32162 (near Walmart)

1:30-3 p.m. -- Summer Glen, 15309 SW 15th Terrace Road, Lot 94, Ocala

3:30-5 p.m. -- Stone Creek Golf & Grille parking lot, 9676 SW 62nd Loop, Ocala

Zozo Kids is also collecting cash donations or checks written to "Help Agency of the Forest Inc. Mailing address is: 19186 NE 13th Street, Silver Springs, FL 34488 or via SoZo Kids - Welcome.

You really don’t think there are people who will do what they can to help others?

That itself is sad.
