The insulation went in today, and the drywall is sitting in the garage ready to go up. They also started putting the trim on the roofline. I expect to see the siding going on soon.

We had to complain to our sales rep because they installed the shower head in the master bath at the wrong height. We had an addendum on our sales agreement to have the shower head raised because my hubby is so tall. They installed the pipe without looking to see the change. The plumber came back today to raise the pipe. We went back there this evening to check it, and it is still 2" shorter than we agreed upon. They are going to have to come back and fix it again. So glad that we are here to keep an eye on the building. Easy to change it at this stage of the game.

The siding started going on today, and the whole inside now has drywall. And the shower head has been moved to the correct height. Things are going great.

Default Your Progress

I really enjoy following your progress. If you can, post a few pictures. I would love to see your house going up. I can't believe the short amount of time it takes!

Wasn't sure I would remember how to post these pics, but it turned out ok. Most of the siding went up today...they still have one side of the house left to do. The entire inside got tape and float on the drywall today also.

Not much to report today. They finished the siding, put another coat on the tape and float. They did install the window sills today.

They sprayed the walls and ceilings on Saturday with something to add texture before they paint. I was expecting them to paint today, but instead they delivered and installed all the interior doors. They also put up the molding around the doors. Can't wait to see the inside all painted! WE MOVE IN A MONTH FROM TODAY!!!!!

Sue,

That is getting to be so exciting. We have a house across the street that is just a couple of days ahead of you (they close end of this month). I have found it interesting to read your updates and compare with them. They have a cbs so there are some differences, but otherwise you seem to be pretty much in sync.

Congratulations!

Default The pictures are great!!

I've done a lot of remodeling in my home. My favorite part is to see the tape and mud painted over and made to look like walls. It's an instant transformation. Same to be said about installing the floors.

They poured the driveway and walkway today, as well as painted the interior doors and molding. Here's a pic:
