Or where it's convenient, or where it's cheaper, or where they can do one stop shopping---depends on the shopper.

There was no public discussion, just a decision by the Entertainment Dept director.

As mentioned many times already, it is not an amenity, but a question of dollars and cents. If we do not support these vendors they will close and go else where, and apparently we are not...

Obviously it wasn't profitable for the vendors to continue selling their produce during the summer. Nothing to do with our amenities.

Besides, the seafood vendor is at Brownwood Saturday morning and she sells LOBSTER. (hint, hint)

amenity |əˈmenədē|
noun (plural amenities) (usually amenities)
a desirable or useful feature or facility of a building or place: heating is regarded as a basic amenity.

The market is not quite an amenity...but complaints are always welcome...

Vendors at the market nights and the farmers' markets are not amenities as mentioned earlier. They pay The Villages rent for the opportunity to sell their wares for a profit. Having said that, there is usually a list of vendors waiting for approval from TV to erect their booths. If there is a lack of booths at one square or another, it is probably not for a lack of interest from the vendors but approval by TV.

The definition of an amenity seems to be carelessly tossed about and leaves me with the impression that some residents either do not understand or have an entitlement mentality.

Nothing is free and some of us are not enamored with a greater, wider, broader, deeper income redistribution scheme
