So I guess we'll be neighbors. As soon as I get my studio set up in the 3rd bedroom we'll have to get together and pound out some Beatles!!

Nice, 88 Keys! Congratulations to you as well. :)

You made me curious about the inventory -- currently 6 new in Silver Lake and 4 of those furnished!

Is this your second move? If so you still have one more to go to be average. [kidding]

Did either of you buy a house with a yellow house right behind you? If so, I think you might be my new neighbor!! : )

I think that there might be a yellow house behind me. Are you on Royal Palm?

Many of those first 100 have been sold. Some are finished but not released into the market and many are still under construction. Some are in the process of removing the old home from the site. There are a few lots where the old home has been removed and nothing has been done for weeks because, I assume, they can't keep up the pace.

Homes have also been removed, built or under construction in Orange Blossom Gardens and Country Club Hills. I don't know how many of those are on the market, but I can tell you from personal experience that they sell almost as fast as they build them.

Well I spoke too soon.....we went to take one last look at the property before signing the final papers and we saw a couple of things that made us rethink our position.

We signed the papers today on a new home in Pine Ridge that checked all of the boxes. But it would have been nice to not have that bond!!!

Haha! Looks like you've bought The Villages average of 3 houses already, so at least that's out of the way. :)

Lol....I never thought of that. I'm sure the sales rep breathed a sigh of relief when I signed the last page of the contract. :)

No I'm on Rainbow.

The one that backs up to Rainbow, I believe, is at 1225 Dustin. That was our first choice and it got sold before I could sign the papers. I literally met with my agent to agree to buy the house and when he looked it up it was gone. I had seen it on the web site the night before.

I can't keep up with how fast these houses are selling. We looked at four different three bedrooms before we bought and all four are no longer on the site. Although apparently, the one 88Keys bought is going to be back on.

It strikes me that the real genius of the Developer is that if you ask the vast majority of Villagers, "Why do you love the neighborhood you live in?", the answer will be that it has a "central location" and "wonderful neighbors".

Oh, and Jim, congratulations.

Oh, and Jim, congratulations.

We're far from centrally located, but you sort of develop a little life around where you live in The Villages. We have certain stores in which we shop and certain restaurants that are close by.

I do love my neighbors and am a bit anxious about meeting the new ones. I find most Villagers to be really nice, but you never know. We might find that one in 10,000 that is not.

We had the option of moving to Pine Ridge but really felt that that was very remote. Even though we are on one end, we still have access to two town squares. I feel as though if we went to Pine Ridge, we would have been limited to Brownwood.

The houses in the historic section do sell very fast which is one of the reasons we bought up there. I love the location and it feels more like a small town and it's very close to all of the stores.

Congrats on the new house house!!!

Several months ago we also looked at the homes and I think it is great that they are putting in nice site built homes. We found a pre-owned designer stick built with a 2 car garage that backs up on to the golf course in country club hills. It had lots of upgrades that we were looking for and decided to buy that instead of the new homes. We like being in the prehistoric area and I think the people are more friendly here then in the newer areas. I like the mature landscaping and being close to shopping is also a plus. Like you, we also used to live near Spanish springs and prefer it here. Good luck with your new home, they are really nice. Darrell
