Default What is considered a political thread?

Hello -

We have been asked 'What is considered a political thread'? In the website rules and guidelines we publish a definition on what the moderators view as a political post. This is subject to modification but we have posted it below:

Politics:

Political references and discussions are forbidden in the main forum areas of Talk of the Villages. This would include but not be limited to reference(s) to a political party, political individual, or political topic. Moderators and Administrators retain the right to use their discretion and any politically related or implied thread or post will be removed. If a user continues to disregard this rule then the user account will be issued infractions/suspension.

For complete website guidelines:

ALSO - If you are reporting more than once a user who is posting something or you prefer not to see their comments please FIRST block the user in your usercp settings. If you have not blocked the user it indicates to the moderators that your preference IS to see the users comments going forward and it is less likely that action would be taken unless a specific rule in the linked site guidelines are violated.

Best Regards,

Thank you for the clarification and common sense suggestion...regarding putting a person on 'ignore.'
