Come on down. Look at the examples of residents here. Note that the average resident is overweight and wearing clothing two sizes too small. Then decide if you want to add another sweet shop or a Big and Tall shop. You would make a fortune no matter which you would choose to open.

Perhaps some entrepreneur will build a nice fitness facility nearby. With 100,000+ people in the general area it could be successful. It would certainly help in advancing the cause of becoming "Florida's healthiest hometown". |
yes Planet Fitness would be GREAT OR LA Fitness

A Diner type place to eat (ex. like Wolfy's in Leesburg) that has good home cooking for a reasonable price! Most of TV eateries are quite expensive with poor service & so, so food.

It all depends where you are in the Villages. The Villages are hugh. You can easily travel 16 miles in the villages. A couple I know who goes to the Leesburg spend over an hour one way. 10 miles when you go around round abouts at a low speed and have many stop lights, traffic etc. outside the Villages can take a long time. They have given up all the luncheons, clubs etc because it takes most of their day. They won't rejoin because it is ruining their schedule to do golf, different clubs etc. |
Exercise room
Been to the one in Wildwood and it is very pricey and just machines, no classes. Been to the one in Summerfield and again just machines. Where I live in the Villages, its the other side of the world. Too far. Plus I need classes.
Still say we need gyms, golf cart accessible in the Villages, |
I subscribe to emails for the web site www.howtobuyamerican.com. On his website, he has an article about starting a 'Buy American Store' --http://www.howtobuyamerican.com/bamw/bamw-120706-domestic-stores.shtml
I would Love a 'Buy American Store' in The Villages. |
I'd loveto see a good musical instrument store. There's nothing around here and there are thousands of musicians in the villages.
The two closest music stores are in Leesburg and Wildwood and they are small and don't carry a lot. There's a good one in Ocala about an hour away. |

perhaps you and your friends could get a group rate with a personal trainer? would be close to home, less expensive and could be scheduled at your convenience. look into that, maybe. |
