I won't make a determination on what's fast enough for others. I am always baffled why people feel it's necessary to be the speed police and make a decision on what's a safe speed for others and never pull to the side when they see you behind them on both roads and cart paths knowing you want to pass them and that is just straight up rude. They need to stop being the speed conductor that is pulling the train and politely pull to the side. When I see a faster cart coming up behind me I put on my directional, slow down and pull off to the side. Being thoughtful of others is often followed up with courtesy wave/thanks by the passer. I also don't tailgate slower carts as that will just make them go slower like on the roads. Like I said, I'm really not in a hurry.
Snowbird rant:
Unless born in Florida, every one of you were a snowbird at some point even if it was a small vacation in January in the past. How was your behavior during your trip? If you are a genuinely respectful person you were the same when visited us. I've lived in Fort Lauderdale for almost 40 years and most of us loved the snowbirds! The only negative was they didn't know their way around on the roads and restaurants/events were more crowded. Just have to be a little more patient on the roads and leave a bit early.
What did I love about snowbirds? 99% were genuinely good and happy people that were in vacation mode with larger amounts of disposable income then our locals and they weren't afraid of spending it in our community which helped most businesses and venues?
Just remember, an AH is an AH regardless of FT or PT. We are FT and new to TV (with manners) and absolutely love it here as the majority of folks are downright nice.

You may enjoy speed but I prefer to remain within the speed limit for golf carts. I do not feel that I should pull off to the side of the cart path to allow anyone to pass me if I am traveling at the legal speed limit (for a golf cart) on the cart paths. There does not seem to be enough room to pull off to the side when traveling on the cart paths in the street so I don't understand where you expect me to go.
On the cart paths, you expect those who travel the legal speed limit to pull off onto the grass area? I will not do that. Sorry. I also will not slow down for someone who is passing unless it looks as though the passer will not clear my cart when getting back onto the path in front of me.
Have fun speeding but be safe about it....please.
