Default Zoning Changes for Sumter County Apartments

The attached notice appears in the Sept. 13 Daily Sun. It identifies upcoming hearings for two zoning changes that will allow multi-family residential, a.k.a. apartments.
1. The area of the Hacienda Hills County Club
2. The parcels of commercial buildings around Market Square at Lake Sumter Landing.

My take:
1. It does NOT include any of the HHCC golf courses.
2. Potentially, apartments around and near Lake Sumter Landing might be coming -- second-floor of existing buildings or the two empty lots at the intersection of Lake Shore Dr & Lake Sumter Landing.

It is one thing to add apartments and continue all services. It is another thing for them to close country clubs and night clubs just to convert them to apartments. This is a very bad trend for Villagers.

So they were closed "Just to convert them to apartments" where did you come up with that statement?

The "country club" and "night club" were nothing more than underperforming, tired, unprofitable restaurants / bars. Let's not try to make them something they weren't.
