Default Converting a lania on a patio villa...?

Greetings,

Has anyone converted their lanai to an additional room in a patio villa?

I'm considering looking into it as a two bedroom just doesn't seem to give me enough space compared to what I'm accustom to up north (basement and bigger garage).

I realize there are steps to take before tackling a project like this. I'm just hoping to get some general feedback to see if anyone has taken the steps to accomplish this and if you did...any regrets?

Thanks in advance!

I have a side lanai. I had 4 feet added to the length and windows put on 3 sides. Best money I ever spent. Demetri Homes did the work.
