I haven't heard of any coyote sightings lately. Anyone have an idea of what might have done this.?
At least it was a rabbit head. With lots of Villagers leaving their little dogs go outside by themself, it very easily could have the head of a puppy. Now, that would be very gruesome.

Had a hawk in my backyard months ago eating a bird. Dog and I watched him eat it from bedroom window. He wasn't the biggest bird but we let him finish then I cleaned the feathers.

Probably a hawk got your rabbit, was munching and something startled it.

My neighbor and I found a headless rabbit. I know it wasn't the body that belonged to the head you found because we found it two years ago. I remember doing some research then and what I found said that owls would rip the head off, eat the contents and come back for the body. He must have forgotten where he left it.

I saw a Great Blue Heron rip the head off of a rat. It gulped down the body but left the head.

Not a pretty thought. Must have been a much bigger bird to just leave a rabbit's head. I wonder if Alex Forrest is in town? Alex Forrest (Character)
