I'm not sure I understand the purpose/benefit/reason for establishing "Friend" connections on TOTV.

I read about the feature on FAQ but it seemed to be more about HOW to do it than WHY to do it.

I would appreciate a brief explanation.

I thought it would be like facebook but there's no functionality to speak of.
I haven't used friends at all, so my vote is don't bother.

That is a very good question. When people ask me to Friend them, I do but it hasn't translated to anything yet.

It's a tool making it easier to find your friends should you want to contact or follow.

If I find someone has interesting posts or it's someone I like and might like to contact in the future, I will friend them.

Yes, it is not like on Facebook. On TOTV, if you friend someone, I think it's just a way to acknowledge someone whose posts you often enjoy or admire. If you accept someone's friend request, it's like saying, thanks for thinking of me. I appreciate you reaching out. I'm honored to have you as a TOTV friend.

It's just a nice gesture for it's own sake. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I couldn't agree more with you, I enjoy the friends/contacts we have!!
