Plantar Fasciitis and Heel Spurs are synonymous...

Unless you're talking about spurs on the back of the heel where the achilles tendon attaches...

The New Balance aren't doing it anymore and the flip flops just don't have the support plus I've tripped in them a few times and don't want to fall.
What's your go to for everyday wear?

Go to Amazon and type in FitVille shoes; They have a wider toe area and each size has 4 variables:For example size 10, 10W, 10WW,10WWW.

I have bone spurs on both feet, I guess from wearing combat boots and steel toes shoes for around 45 years. One bone spur on back heal where my Achilles attaches ( was told 6 moths to year recovering with reattached Achilles tendon). I was able to work through pain by doing heal stretches, took about 4 months to relieve pain. I stretch every morning before exercising and before I go to bed. I had one bone spur removed from top of my big toe. Never was same. So I’m avoiding any surgery if possible.

You are smart to avoid that surgery. It's no fun to do and even less fun to recover from.

I recommend stretching on arising, before and AFTER exercising and also several times randomly during the day, followed by a final. stretch at bedtime.

Sounds like you have that covered.

My Golds XR 9 seems to be the prefect stretching platform. I place my toes up on bottom tubular frame, grab top tubular frame and lean forward which stretches hamstrings and Achilles.

Amazon.com

I also do the tennis ball roll sole of my feet.

Unless they've changed dramatically, I was never impressed by them. Very flat with minimal support.

But, I'm sure they fit some people quite well.

Like SWMBO says, there's a top for every pot...

Dress shoes, what are those? A while back we went to a semi formal wedding and my wife wouldn’t let me wear crocs. She told me to get all my shoes and she would decide which would be most appropriate. She selected my Skechers golf shoes. I was tearing up the dance floor with my soft spikes ( :

These are my recently purchased "dress shoes"... Insanely comfortable!

I'm wearing them with my navy blue suit (a suit is a matching coat and pants, typically worn to more formal occasions :icon_wink:) next weekend...

As for that God awful white sole. Yuk.
They do look very comfortable though.

They are quite fashionable of late.

Would I wear them to a wedding or a corporate meeting? No, but for business casual, they are perfect.

I am old and crusty but I would wear those shoes to a wedding unless they won't slide on the dance floor. Allen Edmonds were great in the day but now I'm all about absolute comfort. May I ask the brand of that shoe you shared?

asianthree 05-19-2025 02:15 PM

Out closets look like a shoe factory. 40+ pairs of golf shoes in different brands and colors, nothing inexpensive.
Everyday keens, teva, berks.
Brooks when we worked replaced every 3-6 months. But we also have different brands for running, hiking, and walking.
One light up closet specifically for Choos, Louies GG, and vintage purses. The girls get to shop from that closet for special birthdays.

Skechers Arch support slip-ons.
I used to wear a lot of sandals but fell and broke my leg in 2009 when the edge of the sandal tripped me. Since then I only wear sneakers.
