First of all, it's not YOUR paper and ink

Second, they might just lower a fee or two if they saved money

And third, you could do what I do-----download the monthly statement as a PDF and save it to a file. I can look at all my bank and credit card statements back to 1997. If you save them it would fill an entire closet with paper

What are you on?
If I print the online version, and the paper is in our office, and the ink is in our printer who the **** owns it?

Sorry. I thought you were referring to paper statements mailed from the bank

I hate when people complain aboit Citizens.

The Developer opened this bank for US. Stop complaining!

I find their paper statements charming. A way of making those who are used to them, like my parents, comfortable. I even save the paper. But all my bank transactions are online usually.

Their online system is down also.

Citizens is in the midst of updating their computer system which will take awhile for employees and customers to be comfortable. Next generations will reduce the amount of paper as they are more trusting of technology. Remember when the introduction of the ATM forecast the demise of the teller? At some point it will happen but not until we are long gone. I guess the demise of the toll takers is a view into that future.

Good luck with online payments, the bank system is down. Do you pay denominated in “modern” Bitcoin or still comfortable dollars like us old folks? Obviously you never heard of backup either. Or do you take screen shots and store them in the cloud. You sound like a know it all teenager whose parents aren’t “cool daddy-o”.

LOL I’m retired myself, John. I guess the reason I don’t feel so impacted because First Citizen is only one of six banks I use. I travelled a lot in my lifetime. I just never closed all my accounts when I moved. Therefore, I can pay my bills from different banks etc. The accounts are invariably free if certain conditions are met. As a past economist I am hesitant to deal in bitcoins.

And each bank provides $250,000 FDIC insurance PER ACCOUNT. Best to spread the risk.
