Reason for asking, I can't believe the people still writing checks for everything and jumping in their cars to pay their utility bills at bill paying centers.

my experience is Florida in general is the same - you have some local vendors that only take check. ok fine. I keep 1 "small order" that lasts at least 8 years. So that's about 18 checks a year at best.

The rest is electronic bill, pay online and I consider that mandatory for anyone including utilities. From that point depending on vendor I either use echeck or card, and a note - NEVER save that information to your online account.

I would also like to know what credit card davem4616 uses to get a 6% reward at grocery stores.

The best I can do with a no-fee, cashback, credit card is 5% at grocery stores, on up to a $500 spend per month. I use my Citi Custom Cash card only for grocery store purchases. It's a good candidate for restaurant use also. Read and understand the rules.

Credit card, pay bill in full to avoid interest charges.
