Paying for "up to 400Mbps" from Xfinity but was upgraded to "up to 600Mbps" at no additional charge a month or so ago. Consistently getting OVER 700+Mbps. and at least 675 Mbps every time I check. And yes, I often make good use of the bandwidth.

Even if you have a 4K TV and you're getting 25, you need more simply because your cell phone and your home phone or using Wi-Fi also and then someone might be on a computer in a different room. Just like the commercials more is always better oh, most people do not have 4K however actually 5-10 MBS is good enough. What really matters his consistency, especially if you are farthest from a hub

I typically get 40 MBPS which is more than enough for our usage. We frequently have two computers running along with streaming our high-end TV. We never see any issues.
Unless you are downloading movies, faster speeds may be nice but hardly necessary. It's like having a car that goes 150 MPH. Except for the rare few, it's never needed nor used. |
