Default What`s this?

I was doing a restoration on an old trunk when i had a difficult time removing some old nails. Since I never saw anything like this, I researched it and found it to be a handmade nail fabricated by a blacksmith. The turn in the nail acts like a screw which is why is was so hard to remove and I also noticed that each "nail" had a different shape. Definately hand done and it dates back to 1850 way before Ace Hardware. Turned out to be a collectable--my client was pretty happy.
