Default What's going on in TV for Halloween?

:joke: :hot: :beer2: :yikes:

Hello fellow Villagers,

We will arrive at TV next weekend, and have costumes with us for Halloween. What is the word on where to go that evening. Is Katie Belle's having a party? We are very excited about our return. We have never been there for Halloween before, and sure hope that there are some special things to do that night. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks,
Paul

Sounds like you guys are having too much fun. I am up here in Maine stacking wood and buying new chains for my snow blower.

Hi Guys
looks like I'll miss the party this year. I stopped by a home to comment on the beautiful large pumpkin in her yard...... Turns out it wasn't a pumpkin and I'm going to be layed up for a few days............

Have fun Fumar

I know that you asked about Halloween but did you know about the Oktoberfest which will be on Tuesday October 30th. This will be a big one!!!!! It will be at both town Squares. Starts at 4:45. At Spanish Springs they will have 5 stages with entertainment on each stage. At Market Square Lake Sumter Landing they will have 4 stages. Both will have the Stiltwalkers, Parades and more.

If you have not been to any of these type of things at the Town Squares then you will have a great time. Yes it will be crowded. And if it weren't it wouldn't be worth going to.

Default october parades

We will be coming to The Villages in October. We were there last year and there were two parades. Will there be two parades this year and when will they be? We love The Villages. Georgiann, Don, and Marylla

In addition to activities for adults, I still like to give out candy to the kids. So at around 5 PM people go to the New Covenant Methodist Church down the street from Crispers and line up in their golf carts in the parking lot and people from the area bring their kids and they go up and down the aisles trick or treating at each golf cart. It is really a lot of fun and lasts for about an hour. I couldn't believe how many people do this - I can't wait to do it again this year.

Just a small correction for Indy-Guy - that would be Friday, October 30th (not Tuesday) for the Oktoberfest. Tuesday, October 8th, is the Italianfest Parade and Festival.

Default Halloween Masquerade Ball

Don't forget also the Halloween Masquerade Ball at the Savannah Center. This year I believe it actuallly is on All Hallows Eve.. Costumes, great music to actually dance to, prizes and the like.

Neat bumper sticker. Went like this: "It's God's job to judge terrorists. Our job is to arrange the meeting!"

Be a gentleman, remove your hat/cap when entering a building and dining out!

Default Cancelled ...........

Okay folks, got bad news at Swing Band this afternoon. Due to poor attendance at the Senior Prom and rising costs of using the Savannah Center, the powers to be are cancelling the Halloween Masquerade Ball.
However, we may be doing another venue at the Colony Cove Rec Center. Not a lot of details yet, but will let you know more when I find out.
