This morning their daughter posted on Facebook to pray for their mother, his wife. She is sick with Covid-19. They can't make plans for a funeral for their dad.
Tell them to ask the doctor about Ivermectin. It was tested in Australia in a test tube in March and killed covid19. It was recently tested on 100 covid patients and they all recovered in 7 days. Its an existing medication with no serious side affects

Medical experts at Columbia University mathematically calculated that IF the US had shut down ONLY 2 weeks earlier that about 60,000 more Americans would still be alive. You can Google that!

I’m kind of thinking it won’t be be allowed in our lifetimes.
I guess that depends on the definition of golf as a sport?

I sure do hope so. I packed a great deal of members in my group and it would not be a safe thing for many of us with age on our side. We are using Zoom and newsletters to old meetings and it is working out very well. Yes, it would be nice to see everyone but not if someone is going to die because of it. Get out and walk and talk to people at a distance. It is good for your mind.

They need to do thousands of test before anyone should even think about trying this medication. A handful of test people is not a test for the world. It will take a long time. I worked in that field and know that this is not going to be an overnight recovery or a magic pill is not just going to appear.

Smile Consider The Risks

My mother, raised on a farm, wife of a minister use to always tell us to be careful as "your a long time dead". An appropriate thought today for those who disregard the risks of this terrible virus and pretend all is fine.

Maybe when:
The virus has gone away
There is a vaccine
There is cure
There is enough testing to show how the cases are really going.
We get an accurate count of how many really died of this virus (including those that have died at home or nursing homes).

The virus is like a snipper, you never know where or when it will strike, it's just out there and you'll never see it.

I moved to the Villages in January basically for the activities in the rec centers. Darn, according to this, I'll be waiting 2 to 20 years or longer.

You cannot underestimate how much you underestimate "elderly female villagers".
