Hi, there are two Sumter tire places. Which one is better?

I second Vaughn. He truly is the most honest mechanic.

I had the same issues with Acurso too.

See a lot of good recommendations for more normal type of repairs.Transmissions do require a specialist.

Do dealers really work on transmissions, or do they hire someone else to do it? A lot of dealers don't even do body work.

Correct about body shop work, trannies are a different animal.

Yes, dealerships do repair, rebuild and replace transmissions. I worked in a Ford service center for 25 years. Transmission work was a large part of our business.

YES By all means.
Vaughn is the greatest, honest, price is right, friendly.
Go check them out.
They worked under trees in the shade outside with no AC.

There have been a lot of negative comments about Jenkins dealerships.

I needed a new tire for my new Honda - it had a screw in it. No road hazard on tires bought with new Honda. Could not be patched or plugged. Jenkins Honda told me $279 for a new tire.

Went to a dealership in West Palm Beach - it's $229. Same tire as Jenkins.
Oddly enough - new tire comes with road hazard protection!

Won't be calling or using Jenkins.

Honda of Ocala

I have a 2014 Honda CRV. Since moving to the Villages 8 years ago we have taken our car to Honda of Ocala. Have never been unhappy with their service. I don't feel their prices are out of line and I always check their web site for coupons before we go for service. Sometimes they come to try and get me to trade for a new car but I just tell them "NO I do not want to trade my car in" before they can even say why they want to talk to me. That stops the conversation right there.
